Walter, Forever in Our Hearts
Walter was a Maltese puppy born 12/8/18 with a cleft palate. I brought him home from my place of work in which he was born at, and tube fed him around the clock for weeks.
Walter had many congenital defects. He had hydrocephalus, a cleft palate, chronic upper respiratory issues, fainting spells, seizures, and he was suspected to have a liver shunt. He stopped growing at 6 weeks old, and remained at 1 lb until he passed at 16 weeks.
Regardless of his issues, Walter was a very happy puppy. He loved everyone he met. He brought immense happiness to thousands of people online and in person. He raised awareness for puppies with congenital defects, and started conversations about responsible breeding.
I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to love Walter, and to provide him with a happy life. His legacy will live on forever.
